Bricks with Raisins and Walnuts

Ingredients for 60 bricks.

Raisin and walnut filling

  • 3 cups of sugar
  • 1 and 1/2 cups of water
  • 1 lemon
  • 700 g golden raisins, rinsed
  • 1 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 500 g walnuts
  • 3 packets of bricks pastry leaves

In a saucepan, combine the sugar, water, and lemon juice and cook over medium heat. Halfway through cooking (after approximately 10 minutes), add the raisins and spices. Continue cooking until you obtain a thick syrup. Then add the walnuts and leave to cool. Use half-sheets of bricks pastry to form the triangles. Fry the triangles in a bath of sunflower oil over low heat. Place them on absorbent paper. Coat them in honey (see recipe).

Arrange them on a beautiful serving dish.
