Fazuelos

- 3 eggs
- 1/2 eggshell of sunflower oil
- 1 and a half eggshells of cold water
- 1 pinch of baking powder
- flour, as much as needed
Mix these ingredients in a bowl, adding flour little by little until you obtain a soft but firm dough. Work the dough until it slaps... You can hear small bubbles popping... Divide the dough into 4 pieces and roll them out as thinly as possible. Leave the sheets to dry for a quarter of an hour, covered with a cloth. Take a sheet and cut it into strips 3 cm wide.
Prepare a deep-frying bath. Roll the strips around 3 fingers and place them gently into the hot oil, on their side. The different layers open up like a rose. Hold them in place with a fork so that the rose does not unroll. Do not let them brown.
Do the same with the remaining dough. Drain and coat the Fazuelos in honey syrup (see recipe).
Arrange the Fazuelos on a large serving dish and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
It is not as difficult as it seems — give it a try... the result is well worth it!
