Pears in spiced wine
Other DessertsIngredients:
- 6 pears (Conference, Comice or another fairly firm variety)
- 100g sugar
- 2 glasses of good red wine
- 1 strip of lemon zest peeled with a vegetable peeler
- 3 cloves
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 6 peppercorns
Place the peeled, whole pears in a pressure cooker. Mix the spices and sugar into the wine. Pour over the pears. Close the pressure cooker and cook for 15 minutes after the valve begins to hiss. Transfer to a bowl, cover with cling film and leave to rest overnight in the refrigerator.
