Gilbert's Sfenj (Doughnuts, quick recipe)
Other DessertsIngredients for 15 doughnuts:
- 250 g of flour
- 1 teaspoon of baker's yeast (= 30 g) dissolved in 150 cl of lukewarm water
- a pinch of salt
Mix everything together gently — the dough will be sticky — then let it rest for 3 to 4 hours. Take a small piece of dough (about the size of an egg), stretch open the centre to form a ring, and fry in a very hot oil bath... Success guaranteed — a recipe tested many times by Gilbert himself!!!!
